Gũkũ thĩ rĩu kwĩ na ũtheri;
Kũrĩkĩtie gũkĩa:
Nduma yothe nĩĩthirĩte,
O na toro wakwa.

Ngai Baba, nĩũndarĩtie
Ũtukũ uyu wothe:
Ndũtigaga kũngitĩra
Tondũ nĩũnyendete.

Na rĩu haha ndakũhoya
Ũndindie ũmũthĩ:
Mehia mothe ũnjohere;
Na ũtuĩke mũndwari.

Tonya ngoroinĩ yakwa;
Ndũgacoke kuuma:
Njikarage hingo ciothe
Ndĩ mwana waku ma.
