Hingo njega ya kũhoya,
Rĩrĩa ndaragia na Ngai,
Nĩrĩo ndĩmũtwaragĩra
Mabataro makwa mothe.
Rĩrĩa rĩothe ndĩ na kĩeha
Nĩanyamarũrũga ngoro;
Ngahatũrũo mathĩnainĩ,
Ngeterera Mũhonokia.

Hingo njega ya kũhoya,
Rathimaga ngoro yakwa,
Mũthamaki Mwene-Hinya,
Iguaga ngĩgũthaitha;
Nĩwendaga ngwĩhokage
Na ngwendaga mĩthĩ yothe,
Ngwĩiga mokoinĩ maku,
Ngweterere Mũhonokia.

Nĩrĩo ũngenagia ngoro,
Nĩrĩo we ũ'menyithagia
Atĩ wĩ hakuhĩ gũũka;
Nĩkĩo niĩ hiũhaga ngathiĩ
Nyũmbainĩ ya Mũhonokia,
Ngatũngane na andũ aku
Twetereire Mũhonokia.
